Maiko Behr Japanese Art Consulting and Translation
Translation Services Specializing in Japanese Art and Culture
I have been providing professional Japanese to English translation and editing services to major Japanese and North American art museums, private collectors of Japanese art, academics, and individual artists and performers since 1998.
Regular clients include the Tokyo National Museum and Kyushu National Museum as well as major exhibition producers and promoters in the media industry, such as The Asahi Shimbun, NHK Promotions, and Nihon Keizai Shinbun.
The majority of my translations currently consist of museum exhibition catalogues, however, I also provide translations for a wide range of purposes, from museum gallery panels and signage to workshop and symposium proceedings, academic papers for presentation and publication, museum guidebooks, travel literature, website and publicity materials, and interview transcripts.
Please see my Profile pages <here> for examples of past translation projects and topics.
