The last few months have been a whirlwind of activity as I assist with preparations for a major traveling exhibition of 107 works from the Gitter-Yelen Collection at five venues in Japan. Organized by NHK Promotions and curated by Kobayashi Tadashi, Director of the Chiba City Museum of Art, the tour opens at the Matsuzakaya Museum of Art in Nagoya on September 11, which means that the fully bilingual catalogue is in final edits as I arrive in New Orleans to conduct condition checks and prepare the paintings for crating and shipment.
