Moon-viewing is associated with autumn in Japanese culture generally and it serves as a major seasonal theme in tea ceremony as well. The September workshop will explore the significance of moon symbolism and the lore surrounding it followed by a moon-viewing themed tea gathering in the tatami room.
The workshop will be conducted in English and will be broken down into lecture, demonstration, and hands-on participation components. No prior knowledge of tea ceremony or Japanese language is required.
