Theme: “Techniques for Proper Matcha Preparation”
The October tea ceremony workshop will focus on practical aspects of matcha tea preparation. We will review the basic utensils needed, proper storage and preparation of the matcha powder as well as whisking techniques. This course will also cover how to identify and purchase appropriate matcha for tea ceremony. Lecture and discussion will be followed by hands-on practice and partaking of tea and sweets in the tea room. Additional materials fee includes a bamboo whisk that participants may take home after the workshop.
